Meet Your Teacher
Hi, I’m Kimberly Anne and I’m originally from California. After working two full time jobs for forty years, I realized that I was spinning my wheels and going nowhere.
My lifelong dream was to live in Europe, so in 2022 I made it happen – all on my own.
In California, my overhead was $10,000 a month, including running a brick-and-mortar business. Even without the business, just sitting at home cost $5,000 a month. I couldn’t afford to go out, or have any hobbies, other than hiking.
My life grew very small and I had to get off the hamster-wheel and make a change.
So I quit my job and spent a year traveling the US solo, in a van before continuing my digital nomad adventure in Europe.
I now live in Portugal for a fraction of the cost and have learned there are dozens of other places in the world where you can do the same.
I know how scary it is to get rid of your belongings and move to a new country where you don’t know anyone and don’t speak the language. But it’s also rewarding in ways I can’t describe and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Instead of living to work, I now work to live. I’ve found life balance and an embracing community of friends. I get to explore and travel Europe.

While remote work is not the focus of this class, Kimberly does have a lesson on remote work. It’s not that difficult to find a way to earn $500 a month. Kimberly does remote work herself.
-What if I have zero money and want to move right now?
There are ways! There are places and people who will provide room and board in exchange for work.
